My story.
I started my design journey in 2008 in Fort Collins, Colorado, where I graduated from Colorado State University in Landscape Architecture. After college, I booked a one-way ticket to Chicago and swapped mountains for skyscrapers. Spending the next 8 years working with some fantastic designers between two offices at Hoerr Schaudt and Wolff Landscape Architects. There, I learned a lot about crafting and envisioning usable spaces and experiences in the real world.
For a couple of years at this point, I had been debating getting into software engineering. I taught myself the easy languages to play with on the weekends and enjoyed creating personal websites and games.
It was only then that I learned about UX and realized that I could merge my past architectural design experience with digital experiences. The focus on User-Centered Design is a vital part of architecture. From here, I decided to bolster my skill with an intensive UX/UI apprenticeship at Thinkful.
I am currently working at cohesion.
